Cafe Trio and Tulie Bakery

Hello Utah Foodies! My name is Connie and I blog at Tales From The Fridge. I relocated to North Ogden from Denver almost 3 years ago and my blog was born out of necessity after being disappointed in the food choices in Northern Utah. At least once a month we travel to the big city to experience fabulous food and stock up on culinary goodies.

We recently took a family trip to Red Butte Gardens in Salt Lake City to release some butterflies that we hatched. After walking around the beautiful gardens, we went looking for some lunch. I had heard about Cafe Trio from my foodie friends on Twitter and it looked darling. There were so many great items on the menu but I decided on the asparagus and mushroom cannelloni and it was amazing! So creamy and yummy....the song AT LAST came on just as I took my first bite and I was in heaven!

Hubby had the Cabonara...spaghettini with smoked bacon, peas and asiago. He likes his food really wet, so he asked for a little side of the pomodoro sauce and he loved it.

My kids, who love pizza devoured this tastey masterpiece. Hubby thought is was one of the best kids pizza's he's ever tasted. In my professional opinion...this is one of the best kid meal values. The pizza came with a drink for $6.

We saw the Tulie Bakery next door so we saved a little bit of room in our tummies and enjoyed the most mouthwatering desserts we have ever had. Hubby selected a banana cream tart, the kids each had a frosted cookie (this frosting was out of this world) and I just wanted a little bit of chocolate. Chocolate Bouchon (Bouchon is french for cork) is a small brownie like cake, the outside is crispy and the center is moist and fudgy. Hubby couldn't stop thinking about the slices of cake so he got one of those too and it was the best cake he has ever had. We will be ordering our birthday cake from here in September.

  3. Tulie is my new favorite Bakery in town! Everything I have tried there is amazing and baked fresh. I highly recommend their cinnamon rolls and the lemon bread!
