Johnny Rockets Grand Opening in Farmington!

Last night Krista and I (along with my hubby for blogger support) were able to attend the media event at the new Johnny Rockets in Farmington, Utah (two more Utah locations are in the works as well!). Fun was had by all attending - pictures speak louder than words, so here are a few of my favorites from last night's gathering.

From the time you walk in and get a great, "Hello!" from everyone to your "Goodbye" out the door it was a happy place to be...

Happy and great retro environment...

Take the quiz and find out which hamburger you are!

Bring a bag of nickels because the mini juke box on some of the tables works and if you choose your song correctly (I went for Rockin' Robin because I figured the staff would definitely end up showing off their dance steps - aaaaannnnndddd I was right!) Totally worth it!

Loved the dancing. Seriously! They are really this happy to be working there, which just makes the fun that much more catching...

They have 18 gourmet shake flavors to choose from (and we tasted several which were all amazing!). Surprise favorite flavor (for me anyway) of the night was the Strawberry Oreo shake... mmmmmm...

They also have several flavor shots for your drinks. Which is awesome, but may also prove to be your downfall if you end up finding out (like Krista did) that adding some chocolate syrup to your Diet Coke is crazy good...

And of course, there is the food! Lots of choices for burgers (and hey, if you want to go veg they even offer Boca burgers, or switch things up and have a turkey burger or grilled chicken on your sandwich).

Original Burger

Mmm... cheese fries!

Smoke House Burger - smoked bacon, crispy sourdough onion rings,
cheddar and special barbecue-ranch sauce - Holly's favorite of the night!

New sweet potato fries!

Kid's meals that are actually kid meal portions - go figure!
Mini burgers, chicken tenders, mini hot dogs, grilled cheese.

Though we concentrated on the burgers during the evening since those are their signature menu items, they also offer several other types of sandwiches and salads as well as extra toppings (the General Manager, John, who was awesome, suggested adding a fried egg to your burger - a favorite of his!).

A few other notes about Johnny Rockets that I found out last night that made us just like them even more:
  • 18 gourmet shakes made from real ingredients (and if you don't mind being experimental they'll mix up other combinations upon request)
  • Special discounts for teachers, students, military and law enforcement, etc. on a daily basis - just bring some kind of proof and get your meal discounted - sweet!
  • Purchase your movie tickets at the restaurant for a discount with your meal. Multitasking at it's best!
  • Super fun environment where you won't feel like you have to spend the whole time 'shooshing' your kiddos.
