Weekend breakfasts are the heartiest…a wholesome meal and tons of conversations at the breakfast isle.
But this weekend breakfast was even special, a new discovery in the kitchen, thanks to Sj’s Whole Wheat Pancakes acquired from Alton Brown's I am just here for more food , the outcome - better than any pancake house I have tried…yea, even better than IHOP…we took the pancakes out on the patio, and had a two hour breakfast with hearty conversations and an even heartier feast.
So, here’s what I did for Whole Wheat Pancakes
Preparation Time: 5 min.
Cooking Time: 10 min.
Serves 2.
Ingredients
Dry ingredients-
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar
Wet ingredients-
1 egg
1 cup “Cold” milk
2 tbsp melted butter
Method
1) Mix the dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately in 2 bowls.
2) Then add the wet ingredients to the dry bowl. Do not over mix, lumpy batters make for great fluffy pancakes.
3) Set aside for 10 mins.
4) Heat the griddle. I do not butter my griddle…so, a ladle of batter goes straight on the heated pan. Flip once you see bubbles burping into holes.
5) Cook for few seconds till the second side gets golden.
6) This recipe makes around 10 fluffy pancakes, add a dollop of butter and its more than enough for two people.

OMG!! That looks SO good!! Well, if its Alton Brown it has to be good!
